Santa Monica, CA – April 2, 2019 – DropKey® Studio in a Bag inventor Rockwell Scharer received an Edison Award for Best Digital Product Innovation (2019), named after Thomas Alva Edison, which recognizes and honors the world’s best in innovators and innovations. The Edison Awards were announced at the Edison Awards Gala held Thursday, April 4, 2019 in New York City.

Mr. Scharer was nominated for the prize in 2018 for his work in developing the MediaBook® and DropKey® Studio in a Bag® technology, creating the prototype that required years to develop with an Academy and Emmy Award-winning team. The innovation led to the creation of the Mobile Content Capture market (MCC) that will change the landscape of YouTube, Journalism, Education, eSports, Advertising and brand engagement, Gaming, social media posting, and content creation.

All nominations were reviewed by the Edison Awards Steering Committee and the final ballot sent to an independent judging panel. The judging panel was comprised of more than 3,000 professionals from the fields of product development, design, engineering, science, marketing and education, including professional organizations representing a wide variety of industries and disciplines.
